From Pro Life Chairman

Worthy GKs and DDs of the Treasure Valley Area,

Here is some information sent to all area councils by our Pro Life Chairman
Below is schedule of pro life events and activities planned in the Treasure Valley area, most of which will actually be in Boise this fall. I share this for several reasons. 1) So that you can share this with your councils and our members from around the area can participate in any or all of the events they choose, 2) So that you are aware of these events and can try to avoid scheduling events of your own that may prevent your members from participating in any you see listed, 3) to get you thinking about what your council might due to further our order's goal of developing and fostering a culture of life, and 4) so your councils may take advantage of any opportunity this may prevent to focus your own pro life efforts.

I also understand that you probably have events of your own planned during this period that are not listed. For instance, I found out that Caldwell council 3086 is planning a baby bottle drive for their parish to coincide with Respect Life Sunday, October 2nd, to raise funds for the Ultra Sound project. That's because their GK called me to let me know. As you have events you want other councils in the area or across the state to know about, please share that with me and I'll be glad to sent them out in future communiques like this, on a quarterly basis.

To the DDs in the rest of the state I copied this to, please cascade this to your council leaders in order to communicate what is happening in other parts of the state and so we can all be better informed on any major pro life events. I encourage you and your GKs to keep me informed about any major pro life events planned in your areas so I can share them with the rest of the state, and hopefully, increase participation because of that.

A couple of other items: I want to thank the councils in District 9 for their efforts to partner with a local pregnancy counseling center with the goal of placing an ultrasound machine where needed, especially the Coeur d’ Alene and Post Falls councils. I know your efforts will eventually produce great fruit. And, I look forward to sending out a special communique regarding the newest placement of an ultrasound machine in Twin Falls as soon as I have more details.

Thanks for all you do to further the cause of protecting all life, from natural conception to natural death, and for your all your prayers.
